Should I purchase 08 with incentives or wait for 09's to come out?
I want to know if Infinity will add any cool colors for 09 like the awesome copper color? Has anyone heard about 09 color rumors? I can't get my Missouri dealer-to- be sales mgr to tell me anything. Also what about any changes the factory has decided to do to improve on 08's. You know they will have to change SOMETHING right? We're stuggling as to whether to buy now and save 3500 in incentives or order in Nov for Jan 09 delivery and get exactly what we want and have first month 09. I know residual value for lease on Infinity is the best but we will purchase and not lease. I don't like buying late model 08 if good changes will be made to 09 model. Anyone have anything good to help us? Thanks ! Can't wait to get our new car

Welcome to the site!
I've been keeping an eye out for info on the 09 EX35 but it's still a little early. My take on vehicle buying is that the price of oil has caught everyone off guard even the Auto makers, so inventories are high for everything except those cars that get well over 30 MPG which makes 08 a buyers market. They won't make the same mistake next year so if you're looking to buy and a good deal to boot 08 is probably it.

I doubt that there will be any significant changes to color and options since it is a new model for '08. Sometimes there are changes due to availability of supply so there is a chance of change. Yes, high MPG cars are doing great, but premium compact SUV class is a new and expensive vehicle category. It is the only SUV category that is not shrinking, but not growing too.
If you can snag a good deal on an '08, then purchase that route and get as much of the $2k in dealer incentive/rebate as you can. The USD is in bad shape and looks to worsen for a while, so you can possibly expect another increase in MSRP soon. I believe Infiniti increased prices in late '07. |

Speaking for myself, I got a HUGE deal on a loaded EX just a few weeks back. I bought on the last day of the month (always good), and got a much better deal than I thought would be possible. It was below anything I saw qouted on several car sites for invoice or "what people are really paying". I can't say which way things will go in the future, but I do know that now is a great time to buy compared to where things have been in the recent past.
