Air Filter

Has anyone tried replacing the stock air filter with K&N filters (needs 2)? If so, how challenging was the disassembly?

Other than the rigmoro of oiling the K&N filters, etc, it should be fairly simple because the air filters just come out once you unclip the cover for each housing.

I have thought about replacing the stock filters as well. Better performance and 1-2 mpg increase. However, good luck finding them to fit the EX35. I have checked many web sites and the EX35 is not available yet. If anyone has found them, please share. Thanks

Actually, the website for K and N does have replacement air filters listed for the 2008 EX35.

My bad, thanks shrek, I also found them on the K&N site. I am going to pick them up this weekend. I will report back on install and notable changes.

K & N air filters

I picked up the K & N filters from an autoparts store. They were $60.00 each. They did not have them in stock, had to wait a few days for them to come in. Installation was easy, took no more than 10 minutes to install. I just filled my tank today, I will check my fuel log when I fill up again and see if there is any change. The engine does seem to "breathe" easier, a little more pep.

Thanks for the update, luvex!

Yes, please keep us informed of how they work out, especially regarding any noticeable impact on gas mileage.

Cheers,
David
