FWIW, I've been following various online forums discussing this vehicle since Jan 2008 (I bought mine at the end of Apr 2008). I have not heard this complaint nor had any such trouble with mine.

If possible, try changing service dealerships. The attitude and competency of the staff/technicians can vary greatly from one place to another.

If you live in the USA, you might also see if the "Lemon Laws" will give you any recourse.
